Physical Development
Many activities are provided that stimulate both gross and fine motor skill development on a daily basis. The outdoor play area is full of equipment and materials that facilitate physical development and creative play. The children also learn about healthy eating and how to choose the right fuels for their growing bodies.
Intellectual Development
Our program recognizes and encourages children’s natural curiosity by providing the opportunity to explore and investigate their interests. Children have free choice time which allows them to discover new information and explore new ideas. These child-led activities are balanced with structured, small group activities. Children are introduced to math, science, social studies, music, art, and literature through engaging lessons. In addition to small group activities and free choice time, children also participate in Circle time. This time is dedicated to allowing the children to engage with one another and participate in our lesson or theme of the week as an entire class.

Preschool Spiritual Development
Children learn that God created each of us to be unique individuals. We are all special! Each child will come to know God and His love for them. They learn that we should also love one another as an extension of God’s love for us. The children start every day with a prayer to help remind them to give thanks to God for all He does for us. Each and every lesson that is taught in our program is fully founded on faith and Catholic values. We instill in our students kindness, empathy, compassion, and respect for one another.
Emotional/Social Development
We provide a loving and warm environment where children learn to associate pleasure with learning. Children’s self-confidence is developed and nurtured by increasing their chances of success while providing the space to fail without fear. Epiphany strives to provide an optimal teacher /child ratio of 1 staff member to 6-8 children with each class having a teacher and aide. This ensures direct, individual attention and support for each and every child.
Spiritual Development
Religion is not just a class for Epiphany students. God is invited to be a part of each child’s daily life. The student body begins each day in prayer. A thread of faith is woven throughout the entire Epiphany curriculum. Time is devoted to the study of scripture, God and the Church. Students thank God before every lunch, and praise Him at the end of every school day.
Epiphany offers frequent opportunities for students to live their faith and personally express their relationship with God. As the central and defining example, the Epiphany family gathers every Friday morning to celebrate Mass together. Students minister to one another by serving as lectors, choir members, altar servers and gift bearers. On certain special occasions, Epiphany students also minister at Sunday liturgies.
Epiphany students learn to serve Christ by serving their neighbors. An Epiphany, education builds an understanding of the world beyond their school. With emphasis on the basic virtues of respect, responsibility, self-discipline, generosity, gratitude, empathy, compassion, cooperation, honesty, stewardship, peacemaking, and friendship, Epiphany students become fine stewards of our Church, our community, and our environment.
While an Epiphany education is deeply rooted in Catholic and Christian tradition, the presence of students from other faith backgrounds provides a wonderful diversity to the school. Epiphany admits students without regard to race, religion, ethnic background, national origin or disability.
